UPGRADING OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO MARTJE VENTER/TARKASTAD HOSPITAL, TARKASTAD

Overview

Upgrading of the electricity supply to Martje Venter/Tarkastad Hospital, Tarkastad (construction project). The Eastern Cape Department of Health invites CIDB 2EP or higher in Electrical Infrastructure (EP) contractors to bid for a 3-month JBCC Edition 6.2 (2018) contract, submitted via the e-tender portal.

Requirements

• CIDB: 2EP or higher in Electrical Infrastructure (EP); CIDB certificate/CRS, active status.
• Registration and compliance: registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); SARS tax/compliance status; COIDA letter or valid compensation fund insurer.
• Returnable/evaluation documents: SBD 1 (signed), SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points claim), Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire, POPIA consent, form of Offer and Acceptance, Bills of Quantities, organogram and key personnel, preliminary programme, LED strategy (local sub-contractors and local material sourcing plan), proof of office, sub-contractors list, CIDB CRS/CIDB certificate, tax clearance.
• Qualifications for bid: demonstrated experience, three or more references for similar projects, and completed staff for key roles.
• Local content and LED: plan to maximize Eastern Cape material sourcing and local sub-contracting.
• Health and safety: evidence of compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations; COIDA letter; safety officer qualifications.
• Other bid conditions: no briefing meeting; documentation must be complete and signed; bid validity 12 weeks; two-envelope process not required; electronic submission only; brand-name substitutions allowed only with equivalent items.
