Overview

Procurement of a single service provider for Voltage Transformer (VT) fault diagnostics, engineering report and recommendations, supply, replacement, testing and commissioning for 11kV incomer switchgear at The Playhouse Company. Target bidders should hold CIDB grading 1EB/2EB or 1EP/2EP (or higher), be a registered Electrical Contractor, include an ECSA-registered professional engineer who signs Phase 2 and Phase 4, have CSD and B-BBEE, and demonstrate MV/HV (11kV) VT/CT diagnostics and installation experience with coordination capability with eThekwini Electricity.

Requirements

• Valid CIDB registration (1EB/2EB/1EP/2EP)
• Electrical Contractor registration (Department of Employment and Labour)
• ECSA-registered professional engineer on the bidder’s team signing Phase 2 and Phase 4
• Valid CSD registration
• Valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit
• Completed SBD4 (Declaration of Interest) and other SCM documents
• COIDA good standing
• Demonstrable MV/HV (11kV) VT/CT diagnostics and VT installation experience; at least two relevant reference projects in last 5 years
• Ability to arrange/isolate with eThekwini Electricity for construction works

Notes: This is a single-solution, end-to-end VT diagnostics and replacement project; phases include diagnostic testing, engineering sign-off, VT supply/installation, testing/commissioning, and close-out (as per Annexure A).
