Overview

Water metering at Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport is being procured as a construction tender to install and commission airport water metering. Eligible bidders are CIDB 2SO or higher contractors with plumbing/water-meter installation experience and the capacity to operate under NEC3 Term Service Contract arrangements, including tax and insurance compliance.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 2SO or higher.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS PIN for verification; if none, provide CSD number; separate TCS for joint ventures/sub-contractors.
• Complete and submit on official forms; include Form of Offer and Acceptance and Schedule of Deviations; one tender offer (original) plus one copy and an electronic copy.
• Attend compulsory briefing (and after briefing, site inspection) and comply with site-visit requirements (ID/driver’s license, safety boots, reflector vest; permit fee may apply).
• Submit returnable documents as listed in T2; observe query deadline and addenda terms.
• Functionality evaluation: minimum 50/100 to proceed to price/preference evaluation (80/20). (Evaluation criteria Final.pdf)

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 October 2026 at 13:00 (South African Time) (see tender data).
• Submission method: bids deposited in the Bid Box at the Administrator Office, Aeropark Office Complex, Walmer, Eastern Cape. Late bids not accepted.
• Documents to complete and submit: official tender forms, pricing data, returnable schedules, and any applicable guarantees or insurances (as per NEC3 contract data).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CIDB 2SO or higher; SARS TCS PIN or CSD number; if JV, separate TCS for each party.
• Briefing and site details: compulsory briefing 09 October 2026 at 10:00 at Dawid Stuurman International Airport; site inspection immediately after (non-compulsory; see specifications).
