Overview

The Department of Health seeks to appoint a Construction Professional Services Provider multi-disciplinary team with the Architect as Principal Agent Leader to design, construct and close out Bethesda District Hospital (Stage 1-7 of FIDM/FIDPM), including new theatres, a critical care unit, kitchen and parking. Bids are open to qualified multidisciplinary teams; contract duration is 75 calendar months.

Requirements

• Lead architectural entity must be 51% Black-owned/managed with a registered professional architect (8+ years post-qualification) and must submit a minimum of 2 completed projects involving design, construction and supervision of medical facilities.
• Submit a Construction Registered Professional Multi-Disciplinary Team organogram and CVs showing: minimum 3 years post-registration for each discipline; architect at least 8 years post-registration.
• Provide formal signed agreements between the Lead Bidding Entity and each team member; all parties must sign and date.
• For each team member, provide current professional indemnity insurance (minimum 3x tendered fees, or confirm PDI cover equal to 3x for each discipline; min R5 million per discipline).
• Returnable documents must be commissioner-certified and current (not older than 3 months).
• Mandatory admin/compliance: registration on CSD; tax compliance (TCS PIN or SARS details); professional body registrations; SBD forms; etc. (detailed in the attached tender documents).
