Overview

Upgrade of TRK 93249 (Maniza Road) in KwaXimba Ward 1 Outer West to a 750 mm reinforced concrete roadway, including stormwater drainage, kerbing and protection works; suitable for CIDB 6 CE (or higher) road-construction contractors with appropriate roadway experience. Bidders should have CIDB 6 CE (or higher), be able to comply with eThekwini JDE procurement, and attend a compulsory clarification meeting/site visit (27 July 2026) before submitting tender by 21 August 2026.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation: 6 CE (or higher).
• Compulsory clarification meeting and site visit (27 July 2026, 10:00, Roads Provision dept., Hillcrest).
• Registration and pre-qualification: register on the National Treasury CSD, the eThekwini Supplier Portal, and the JDE system.
• Certifications/registrations: valid CIDB, B-BBEE, and Tax Compliance PINs at tender closing; verification via CSD.
• Tender validity: tender offers remain valid for 12 months.
• Health & safety: submit COIDA good-standing and implement the Construction Health and Safety Specification; provision for H&S officer, site facilities, PPE, and related costs. (SSHSS 548/05/2026)
